Day 3

How Free Are we Really?

“Live as free people…”

1 Peter 2:16 NIV

God has given us a curse breaker through Jesus. We are legally free but He wants us experientially free.

Over the course of this study, we’re asking you to be honest with yourself about the kinds of things you permit into your life. God wants you to feel strong and healthy. He wants you to have joy and to enjoy this life. He also wants you around for the long haul.

It’s easy to face the truth for, or about, someone else. It’s more difficult for us to see our own problems, which means we have to seek God for the truth about ourselves. With the help of the Holy Spirit and God’s Word, each of us can face the truth and start to make positive changes towards freedom.

What would it look like for you to be free from anxiety? What would it look like for you to be free from finding your security in money? What would it look like to be free in your relationships with others? What will the future generations thank you for finding freedom in?

There’s no waiting for spiritual freedom. We just have to choose it and decide it is ours.

If you want to be truly free, you must first recognise the places where you have settled for counterfeit freedom.
